Jackson CEO Appointed to State Board

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal appointed Richard Jackson, chairman and CEO of Jackson Healthcare, to the board of directors of the Georgia Department of Community Health effective immediately.

The department oversees the state’s Medicaid program, the state health benefit plan for state employees, healthcare facility regulation and health information technology.

“I want to thank Governor Deal,” Jackson said. “This is a terrific opportunity to have an impact on the delivery of healthcare in Georgia. … I appreciate this chance to help bring more efficiency into the delivery of healthcare in our state.”
