Brown & Brown Inc., an insurance services and products company, announced earlier this month it acquired MEW Custom Staffing LLC of Tampa FL. MEW does business as Custom Outsourcing and operates as a human resource outsourcing and insurance agency serving clients throughout Florida. It had annual revenue of approximately $1.5 million.

Beth Bennett, principal with MEW, will combine the operations of her company with those of Brown & Brown's existing Tampa office. Terms of the deal were not announced.
