Command Center Inc. (OTC: CCNI) reported revenue rose 6.9 percent in the third quarter to $27.7 million, primarily attributable to a 10.6 percent increase in same store sales. Gross margin at the industrial staffing provider rose to 27.7 percent in the third quarter from 25.8 percent in the year-ago quarter
Net income jumped to $6.0 million compared to $1.2 million in the prior year’s third quarter. The third quarter includes a one-time, non-cash charge of $807,000 for impairment of goodwill relating to the January 2012 acquisition of Disaster Recovery Services of Louisiana LLC. Command Center also recognized in the third quarter a one-time, non-cash tax credit of $4.3 million.
