Indexes suggest flat economy for Mexico

Mexico’s economic activity is unlikely to accelerate in early 2014, based on readings of The Conference Board’s leading economic index for Mexico and its coincident economic index for the country.

The leading economic index for Mexico edged down again in November, slipping 0.1 percent, the same amount as October. The leading economic index for Mexico now stands at a reading of 123.5. During the six-month span through November, the index decreased 1.1 percent.

The coincident economic index posted a slight increase of 0.2 percent in November.
