Economic activity is likely to remain subdued through the end of 2013 based on readings of The Conference Board’s leading economic index for Mexico and coincident economic index for the country.
In September, the leading economic index for Mexico fell 0.2 percent after two consecutive months of gains. The leading economic index for Mexico now stands at a reading of 124.6. During the six-month span through September, the index decreased 2.7 percent.
The coincident economic index was unchanged for September.
