The number of information technology jobs rose 2.8 percent in October on a year-over-year basis for a total of almost 4.2 million jobs, but the growth rate has eased from earlier in the year, according to the TechServe Alliance.

“While demand in most IT skill sets remains strong, it appears that uncertainty surrounding the broader macroeconomic picture and fiscal cliff has dampened the robust growth we saw earlier in the year,” said TechServe Alliance CEO Mark Roberts.
