ISM manufacturing index little changed in November

December 01, 2014

The Institute for Supply Management’s purchasing managers’ index for US manufacturing edged down slightly to a reading of 58.7 in November from October’s reading of 59.0.

Readings above 50 indicate growth; November’s index indicates continued expansion in manufacturing at a rate similar to October.

Bloomberg reports November’s reading is the second-strongest level since April 2011 and exceeded its forecast.
