Manpower Inc. (NYSE: MAN) was named on the Ethisphere Institute's 2008 list of the world's most ethical companies. A total of 93 companies made the list, including Accenture Ltd., Google and Fluor Corp., according Ethisphere's Web site. Ethisphere is dedicated to the research, creation, and sharing of best practices in ethics, compliance and corporate governance among its member companies.

Jon Barfield, chairman and president of The Bartech Group, received the National Minority Supplier Development Council's leadership award at the organization's annual banquet. "Jon Barfield ranks among the top minority businessmen in America," said Harriet Michel, president of NMSDC. The organization's regional councils certify more than 15,000 minority-owned corporations. Bartech also received the Eaton premier supplier award, Delphi pinnacle award, Chrysler minority business enterprise of the year and General Motors' supplier of the year award.

Apex Systems Inc., a Richmond VA-based technical staffing firm, received the 2007 supplier excellence award for information technology services from Verizon.

Kforce Inc. (NASD: KFRC) received a bronze award in the business-to-business category at the 2008 Horizon Interactive Awards, an international media awards competition.
