Accounting firm Ernst & Young announced it will hire approximately 9,000 students from across its Americas region in its fiscal year that started July 1. Separately, Party City, a party supply retailer based in Rockaway, N.J., is recruiting more than 14,000 seasonal workers across the country for the Halloween shopping season.

Ernst & Young reported that of the 9,000 it will hire, 5,200 will be grads for full-time positions and 3,900 will be interns. The hiring will be in the company’s Americas region, which includes the United States, Canada, Israel, Mexico, Central America and South America.

At Party City, the average store will hire an additional 15 to 50 extra employees. The company operates nearly 800 stores nationwide. The Halloween season generates nearly $6 billion in sales and is the second-largest holiday season, according to the National Retail Federation.
