Highest starting salaries for business grads? MIS and marketing

Management information systems majors are projected to post the highest starting salary, at $55,843, among bachelor’s degree business graduates of the class of 2015, according to salary survey data released by the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Among master’s level grads, marketing majors are projected to have the highest starting salary at $77,955.

The average projected salaries for the top-paid business majors at the bachelor’s level include:

  • Management information systems: $55,843
  • Logistics/supply chain: $53,024
  • Finance: $52,788
  • Accounting: $51,475
  • Business administration/management: $51,196
  • Sales: $50,200

The top-paid business majors at the master’s level include:

  • Marketing: $77,955
  • Finance: $71,527
  • Business administration/management: $71,076
  • Logistics/supply chain: $69,313

The January 2015 Salary Survey included 316 NACE employer members, who reported their projected salaries for their anticipated new hires from the class of 2015. It was conducted from Aug.11 through Nov. 24, 2014.
