Heidrick & Struggles Inc. (NASD: HSII) acquired IronHill Partners, a retained search firm specializing in the venture capital sector with a focus on technology placements. Terms of the deal were not announced. The acquisition includes IronHill's team of four search partners and 10 search professionals.

"Heidrick & Struggles will be able to leverage IronHill's experience and client relationships in the venture capital sector to improve our search capabilities in this growing space," said CEO L. Kevin Kelly.

IronHill had offices in Waltham MA, New York, Newtown PA and San Jose CA.
