A letter to suppliers from an attorney for U.S. Nurses with Purpose Inc., which does business as USNurseLink, said the healthcare vendor management system is going out of business and is unable to pay any of its bills. It recommends that billings should be made directly to clients going forward.

"NurseLink has virtually no assets. All receivables were sold to a funding company in the regular course of business," attorney William Phillips of Glenwood Springs CO, wrote in the letter. "No additional revenues will be received."

The company owes more than $350,000 plus payroll taxes to the IRS of more than $100,000, according to the letter.

Neither Phillips nor a representative of USNurseLink responded to requests for comment.

The letter said Phillips recommended against the company filing for bankruptcy because it had no assets to liquidate, but the company would file if it were necessary to stop collection lawsuits.

According to the company's Web site, the Glenwood CO-based healthcare VMS was started in 2007.
