Harvey Nash's U.S. revenue rises 5%

U.S. revenue at Harvey Nash Group PLC rose 5% to GBP16.6 million (US$26.0 million) in the first half of 2010 compared with the first half of last year.

Gross margin at the London-based information technology staffing and services firm's U.S. operations narrowed to 25.9% from 30.5%.

Harvey Nash's worldwide revenue for the first half of 2010 was GBP198.6 million (US$310.6 million), down 0.7% from GBP199.9 million from the first half of last year.

First-half gross margin for the company's worldwide operations rose to 16.1% from 15.9%.

Harvey Nash posted a profit of GBP1.8 million (US$2.8 million), up 41.2% from the same period last year.

The company also announced new board member Ian Davies.
