Harvey Nash Group plc, a London-based information technology staffing and services, reported U.S. revenue rose 24.7 percent to £21.9 million (US$34.3 million) in the first half of this year compared to the first half of last year. However, gross margin narrowed to 24.6 percent from 26.4 percent.
The company reported that contract recruitment and offshore projects were the main drivers of growth.
Harvey Nash’s global revenue for the six months ended July 31, 2012, rose 15.4 percent to £292.5 million (US$459.5 million) on a year-over-year basis. Gross margin narrowed to 14.0 percent from 15.2 percent.
Profit for the period fell 9.1 percent to approximately £2.4 million (approximately US$3.7 million).
