Hamilton-Ryker acquires Houston staffing firm

January 17, 2014

Staffing provider Hamilton-Ryker IT Solutions acquired Steverson Staffing Inc., a Houston-based staffing firm. The transaction closed at the end of the year.

Investment banking firm De Bellas & Co. announced the deal and advised the seller, whose owners will retire.

“This is an exciting acquisition that will diversify our information technology offering,” said Hamilton-Ryker President Kelly McCreight. “The Steverson staff will remain in place continue to operate under the Steverson brand. Due to its 35-year history in Houston, Steverson has strong name recognition which will help us to accelerate our growth in that market.”

Steverson provides temporary and direct placement in the accounting, finance, administration and IT sectors. Mike Lejeune joined the company in 1992 and assumed the role of president in 2010.

Hamilton-Ryker was founded in 2002 and focuses on information technology consulting and staffing. The Nashville-based also recently acquired WMS iSymphony Inc., a cloud-based vendor management system/managed service provider based in Houston.
