Massachusetts-based HW Staffing Solutions, a commercial staffing company, acquired S&B Staffing, an office services staffing company located in Albany, N.Y. The transaction closed on June 22; terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition was announced by S&B’s intermediary Betty Pickett, managing partner of Chartwell Business Advisors.

The S&B Staffing brand will remain in place for the foreseeable future but the firm’s principals, Connie Sargent and Pat Blais, are not remaining with the company. 

“This is a fantastic opportunity for HW to both enter the New York market and expand our clerical staffing offerings,” said HW Staffing Solutions President Edward Walsh. “We are very excited to build on the legacy that S&B has already established in the Capital District.”

HW Staffing Solutions provides light industrial and clerical staffing in the north and southeastern US.  The company currently has 26 locations in 11 states targeting a variety of industries. Through the transaction, this now includes an office in Albany, N.Y.
