Impellam Group plc appointed Darren Mee as group finance director, effective Feb. 2. The UK-based company announced in April 2014 that Group Finance Director Andrew Burchall would leave the firm to pursue other personal and career opportunities; he had served in the role since Impellam was formed in May 2008.

Mee, 49, most recently has been CFO at easyHotel Plc. A chartered accountant for almost 30 years, he was head of tax and treasury at DS Smith PLC and held a number of roles at TUI Travel PLC, most recently as chief operating officer of TUI specialist and activity businesses.

“I welcome the appointment of Darren to the Impellam Board,” said CEO Julia Robertson. “His knowledge and experience both financially and commercially of optimizing performance from multi-brand portfolios in the services sector and managing the journey from off line to on line business will be invaluable in moving Impellam forward in the next stages of our growth and development.”
