Global Upside acquires staffing firm

April 24, 2014

Professional services firm Global Upside Inc. adds a staffing component with the acquisition of Montgomery Professional Services Corp. The transaction closed April 21 and terms were not disclosed.

Global Upside, based in Los Altos, Calif., provides outsourced finance, accounting and human resources services. San Jose, Calif.-based MPSC provides recruiting, temporary staffing, and onsite outsourced accounting services to clients including Cooper Companies, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies and Twitter.

The MPSC brand will fold into Global Upside and MPSC’s executives will remain with the firm, with CEO Rick Giorgetti taking the role of vice president of sales.

The combined company has about 125 full-time staff employees and Global Upside plans to relocate to a larger facility in the Silicon Valley area to accommodate the expansion.

“Global Upside has grown significantly in the past years due to our focus on quality, timeliness, and responsiveness for well-known brands like Aruba Networks, DCG Systems, Dell, Enphase Energy, Rhapsody International, and Zillow among many others, including many Deloitte Fast 500 clients,” said Global Upside CEO Ragu Bhargava. “By adding recruiting, temporary staffing and on-site outsourcing to our portfolio, we can help our clients in more ways.”
