The chairman and CEO of Gevity HR Inc. (NASD: GVHR), Michael Lavington, received work authorization from the U.S. government, the company announced today. Lavington was named CEO in October 2007, and his appointment was subject to the authorization.

Lavington is a citizen of the United Kingdom. He has served on the Gevity board since 2006.
