General Employment Enterprises Inc. reported revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was up 52% at $3.8 million compared with $2.5 million generated in the same period last year. Contract service revenue for the quarter was about $3 million, an increase of 100% from the same period last year primarily due to $1.4 million coming from the On-Site Service acquisition and a 14.5% increase in the average hourly rate. Placement service revenues of $854,000 decreased 17% from last year.

 

The company had a net loss of $137,000 in the quarter, compared with a net loss of $2.3 million in the same quarter last year.
