Full Moon Talent acquires risk management firm

July 02, 2014

Full Moon Talent, a provider of IT and risk recruiting and staffing services along with outsourced project work, acquired Quion Partners. Quoin Partners is a management consulting and talent sourcing firm targeting enterprise risk management.

The transaction closed June 9; terms were not disclosed. The Quoin Partners brand will integrate into the Full Moon Talent umbrella.

Full Moon is headquartered in Westport, Conn., and serves both U.S. and international clients. Its governance, risk and compliance (GRC) division handles recruiting and staffing assignments in the following areas: internal/external audit, risk management, operational due diligence, regulatory compliance, and corporate/information security.

“The combination of GRC experience and exclusive focus truly positions us as the leading source of Governance, Risk, and Compliance talent in the market today,” said Spencer Knibbe, Quoin Partners’ founder. “We’ve been on the front lines as risk managers and as such are best equipped to partner with clients to efficiently identify the right resources.”

Knibbe will become partner and head of Full Moon's GRC practice. His background includes being a venture capital associate, managing an operational department, heading risk for the Americas region of ICAP plc, overseeing operational risk management for Bridgewater Associates, and founding Quoin Partners.

Full Moon was founded in 2011 by Matt Bieber, who previously was an analyst at Bear Sterns and a principal at venture capital firm Originate Ventures. Rich Milliman heads the company; his background includes being a management consultant with McKinsey and Company, running a recruiting firm purchased by Korn/Ferry International and heading the risk function of hedge fund Bridgewater Associates.
