Founder to buy Pomeroy IT Solutions

Pomeroy IT Solutions Inc. (NASD: PMRY) struck a deal to be acquired by company founder David Pomeroy II. The deal, which would take the Hebron KY-based information technology services and staffing firm private, must still receive approval from shareholders.

Pomeroy would pay $5.02 for each share in the company not already owned by him or his wife. Pomeroy already owns 20% of the company. The deal represents $49.0 million in equity value, according to the company.

The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter.

Pomeroy IT Solutions had 2008 staffing revenue of $106.2 million and total 2008 revenue of $565.8 million, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
