The Affordable Care Act is pretty much a done deal; it’s time to get prepared, said Ed Lenz, senior counsel of the American Staffing Association, during a discussion Monday at the start of the 2013 Staffing Industry Analysts Executive Forum in Orlando, Fla., on Monday. The ACA has been upheld by the Supreme Court and the last presidential election paved the way for the law.

Lenz, along with Michael Schrenk, benefits compliance leader, Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA Inc., discussed the complex legislation during the opening panel at the forum.

He also cautioned against schemes to thwart the act — such as splitting employees between staffing firms and clients.
