Two former Technisource executives received $8 million in backing to found a new information technology staffing firm called Optomi LLC. The executives include Michael Winwood, former president and chief operating officer at Technisource, and Todd Black, former senior vice president of Technisource.

Optomi is launching in the Atlanta and Chicago markets, and it has plans for additional expansion in 2013.

Optomi will focus on certain skill sets, including: application development, web development, mobile platform development and project management.
