Firms form joint venture, acquire Vancouver office

January 20, 2016

Optimum Talent, a Canadian integrated talent management company, and Conroy Ross Partners, a retained search and consulting firm, formed a new joint venture and acquired the Toombs Inc. office in Vancouver, BC.

The joint venture is a strategic move that solidifies the existing partnership between the two firms, according to the firms. The Toombs transaction diversifies the portfolio of services and extends both companies' outreach across Canada.

In 2014, Conroy Ross Partners and Optimum Talent Executive Search agreed to integrate Optimum’s executive search division into the Conroy Ross brand. Optimum also provides a suite of human resources and executive consultant services, which continued to operate under the Optimum brand.

“Partnering with Optimum Talent in the Vancouver marketplace was a natural choice for us,” said Conroy Ross Partners CEO Mike Bacchus. “There has been a substantial shift in our industry and this was a strategic decision for both firms to be able to provide our clients with an integrated suite of services to help with the evolving needs of their business. We look forward to continuing work with Toombs Inc. existing clientele, while offering new services to an expanded client base.”

“Optimum Talent and Toombs have a long history of working together on methodology and business opportunities in order to provide our clients with the best solutions in career transition,” said Optimum Talent President Ronald Dahms. “We are pleased to team up with Conroy Ross Partners in the acquisition of the Vancouver office, which brings great opportunity to the market through diversified offerings such as coaching and organizational development, as well as an enhanced career management service offering.”
