Feds to close loophole that permits health plans without hospital coverage — Web

The Washington Post reports Treasury Department officials are preparing to reverse course on an official calculator that permits health plans without hospital coverage to qualify as “minimum value plans” under the Affordable Care Act. Such plans were being offered as a way of meeting minimum value to avoid penalties under the ACA but would be less expensive than plans with hospitalization. To read the story, click here.
