Feds give $10 million to 23 states to combat IC misclassification

The US Department of Labor awarded $10 million in federal grants to 23 states to combat misclassification of workers as independent contractors as well as the nonreporting of wages. The money was part of a larger program of $39.3 million in federal grants for unemployment insurance programs in 45 states and territories.

States receiving grants to combat misclassification and the amount of the grant include:
