London-based staffing firm Empresaria Group PLC said Thursday that Zach Miles, former chairman and CEO of Vedior NV, will join its board effective Oct. 1. Miles replaces Tim Sheffield, who is stepping down after 12 years.

Miles stepped down from Vedior last year. He was replaced by Louis Willem "Tex" Gunning, who will step down in August because of the acquisition of Vedior by Randstad Holding NV. Gunning will become a managing director at AkzoNobel in September.
