Energy Staffing Firm Makes Acquisition

December 04, 2012

Energy Services Group International acquired BCP Technical Services, a privately held staffing firm serving the U.S. energy industry with a focus on nuclear power. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Energy Services Group, based in Toano, Va., provides engineers and other highly skilled technical personnel for long-term assignments, primarily in the nuclear power industry. It also provides personnel for the fossil, solar and wind power generation sectors.

Post-acquisition, BCP will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Services Group and the companies combined will employ more than 850 full-time contingent workers. BCP’s management team, led by Ron Rowley, will continue to operate the business out of its Louisiana and Florida offices under the BCP banner.

“They’ve established a good rep and presence in their markets with their customers and we don’t want to change that,” said Lee Stocks, Energy Services Group’s director of business development.

“BCP is a growing and profitable company led by a solid, respected team of executives. There is little overlap in our respective customer bases, which we expect will allow us to significantly enhance business development opportunities resulting from the combined competencies and relationships of BCP and ESG,” said Tom Gillman, president and chief executive officer of Energy Services Group.

BCP is based in New Orleans.
