Elwood Staffing acquired Beacon Staffing, a firm with three Michigan locations in Grand Rapids, Holland and St. Joseph. Elwood plans to retain all current Beacon employees, including senior leadership. Beacon’s operations will transition to the Elwood brand.

“Elwood and Beacon share many of the same values,” said CEO Mark Elwood. “We believe this partnership will enhance the employment experience for both our clients and our associates, and we are excited to strengthen our existing branch network in Michigan.”

Terms of the transaction were not announced.

Elwood, based in Columbus, Ind., ranks No. 57 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2011 list of largest U.S. staffing firms.
