Elance, a firm that connects staffing users with online independent contractors, named Servaes Tholen as chief financial officer and Rich Pearson as chief marketing officer.

Tholen comes to Elance from eBay, where he most recently served as CFO of eBay North America.

Pearson joins Elance after leading global marketing at Posterous through its acquisition by Twitter. Pearson has also held senior marketing positions at Yahoo and Del Monte Foods.

Privately held Elance is based in Mountain View, Calif., and Oslo, Norway.
