Diversant Inc. and Info Technologies Inc., New Jersey-based information technology staffing firms, merged to form Diversant LLC, the combined firm announced Monday. If combined in 2009, the companies would have had approximately $50 million in revenue.

The combined company is also certified as a minority-owned firm by the NMSDC and the state of New Jersey.

"This merger is more than about two companies merging to be a larger delivery organization, Diversant is also really focused on all issues of diversity," said CEO and majority shareholder Gene Waddy.

Diversant brings workforce diversity, supplier diversity and minority business development, Waddy said. The company provides diverse candidates, assists staffing buyers in meeting their diversity goals and has a program that works with other minority-owned IT staffing companies to bring them in as partners on contracts.

Diversant also announced a new branding with the merger and a Web site, diversant .com.

The company works in 30 states at this time but plans to grow. Waddy said he believes the company can grow to $100 million in revenue in 18 months.

Terms of the transaction were not announced.
