The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit recently held that an independent contractor may bring a race discrimination claim under a federal statute prohibiting discrimination in contracts. Three other Circuits had also ruled in the past that independent contractors may sue for racial discrimination.

This means independent contractors may now sue their clients for racial discrimination, according to the new "Legs & Reg Advisor" co-produced by Staffing Industry Analysts and employment law firm Littler Mendelson.
