Corporate Resource Services Inc. (OTCBB: CRRS) landed a contract to provide staffing services to the State of Nevada under its TS Staffing Services division. CFO Michael Golde said the Nevada contract should be in the millions of dollars, in terms of overall revenue.
Positions will be in higher skill levels than CRS typically does, Golde said. The company currently counts 80 percent of its business in light industrial and is trying to grow the higher-margin professional book, which now comprises 20 percent.
“We are always looking for opportunities to expand our professional offerings,” he said.
CRS is aggressively pursuing state contracts via a dedicated government team, said Golde. “We are constantly reviewing requests for proposals and we are answering those requests on a very regular basis.”
Corporate Resource Services ranks No. 34 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest staffing firms in the U.S. with estimated staffing revenue of $345 million in 2011. It operates 207 offices, including about 90 onsite locations.
The New York-based staffing firm also recently secured a contract with Howard County, Maryland.
