Staffing firm Corporate Resource Services Inc. (OTCBB: CRRS) completed negotiations to acquire Summit Software, an enterprise software provider serving the professional employer organization industry.

“Summit is one of the premier software companies focused on the PEO industry,” said Corporate Resource CEO John Messina. “With healthy profit margins and excellent opportunities for growth, Summit’s technology touches millions of people through more than 270 PEO and other clients and their base of customers.”

The deal will close once customary approval requirements and closing conditions have been met. Summit is based in Little Rock, Ark., and its software provides payroll processing, client contact management and applicant tracking among other features. The company was founded in 1982.

Corporate Resource Services is based in New York and ranks as the 34^th-largest staffing firm in the U.S.
