Corporate Resource Services replaces CFO

January 12, 2015

Staffing provider Corporate Resource Services Inc. (NASD: CRRS) appointed Joseph Ciavarella as CFO, effective Jan. 12. He replaces Michael Golde, who had served as CFO since May 2012.

Ciavarella has been a consultant since 2012, primarily to companies in the financial services and consumer products industries. He was senior VP and CFO of AboveNet Inc. from 2008 to 2012 and vice president and CFO of Langer Inc. from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, Ciavarella spent almost 20 years in the financial services industry.

“Joe brings a track record of managing companies through SEC compliance initiatives and has successfully spearheaded financing and equity raising activities and executed growth initiatives with past organizations,” said CEO and Chairman John Messina. “At AboveNet, he was a key member of the management team that successfully sold the company for $2.2 billion in July 2012. We are excited to welcome Joe to the CRS executive management team and we look forward to his contributions as we execute our growth strategy.”

Ciavarella’s hiring follows the appointment last week of Sean Flanagan as chief information officer.

Corporate Resource ranks as the 22nd-largest staffing firm in the US.
