Staffing provider Corporate Resource Services Inc. (NASD: CRRS) appointed Sean Flanagan as chief information officer, a new position within the New York-based company.

Flanagan previously was president and owner of Summit Software, which provides enterprise software applications and cloud-based hosting solutions for the PEO and staffing industries. He joined Corporate Resource in 2013 when it acquired Summit Software.

Flanagan will drive Corporate Resource’s global Information technology strategy, services and operations. He will oversee the IT support teams and the Summit Software teams including software development, account management and implementation.
