System One, a Pittsburgh PA-based staffing firm, announced a partnership with Utility Partners of America.

Under the deal, Greenville SC-based Utility Partners will provide project management, logistics and technical support for the installation of "smart" meters. System One will serve as the recruiter for the work.

Smart meters can measure electric, gas or water consumption for utilities in more detail than regular meters and may be able to communicate the information via a network back to a utility, according to Wikipedia.
