Monarch Staffing Inc. (OTCBB: MSTF.PK) reported the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation extended a contract with Monarch's Drug Consultants Inc. subsidiary for speech therapy services through Sept. 30, 2010.

The company also announced that it was not awarded a contract with the California Department of Veteran Affairs for clinical dietician services. It announced in July it had received the contract based on preliminary indications of a contract award, but the contract went to another firm.
