Toyota announced Aug. 28 it was moving production of Tacoma pickups to Texas from California, where it is ending production at its New United Motor Manufacturing Inc. plant in Fremont CA. The California plant also makes Corolla cars, and production of that vehicle will move to Toyota plants in Cambridge, Ontario, and Japan.
