Contract Watch: The Computer Merchant

September 23, 2011

The Computer Merchant Ltd., a Norwell, MA-based IT staffing and contingent workforce management solutions firm, this week announced a multi-year, strategic agreement with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), headquartered in Falls Church, VA, to manage its U.S. contingent workforce program. The three-year agreement has an option for an additional three-year extension and is valued at approximately $300 million.

The Computer Merchant will assume program management responsibility for CSC’s U.S. contingent labor program. TCM will also source and deliver contingent professionals to CSC’s commercial business units in the U.S. “One of the keys to success in our business is the ability to rapidly build and deploy teams on a cost-effective, just-in-time basis,” said Terrance Bilbo, CSC corporate vice president. “TCM’s centralized sourcing and national delivery engine is a crucial piece of this capability and gives us a real competitive edge to deploy a broad range of capabilities rapidly,” Bilbo added.

“We tailor and scale TCM’s delivery engine to mirror the continually evolving needs of CSC and their clients in the market,” said John Danieli, chief executive officer of TCM. “We’re excited to be working closely with CSC in its strategic growth segments such as cloud computing and healthcare IT to deliver highly skilled IT resources that get the job done,” he added.
