Three staffing firms will assist Vangent Inc. in hiring approximately 500 temporary workers for a U.S. Census call center in Sandy UT.

The call center will be operated by Vangent and will be in place to answer questions from U.S. residents about the 2010 Census form. Most of the jobs will begin in January and end in August.

Staffing firms taking part in filling positions at the Sandy UT call center are Quest Staffing Services, Synergy Staffing Partners and Remedy Intelligent Staffing.

Vangent will also operate similar call centers in Lawrence KS and Phoenix AZ for the 2010 U.S. Census.
