Contract Watch - Headway, CDI, Westaff

August 08, 2008

Headway Corporate Resources said it will provide more than 3,700 workers to national retailer Hickory Farms for the upcoming holiday season through its Adaptive RPO program. Headway's program uses its national recruitment center and the company will provide sourcing of workers, screening, hiring and on-boarding services. It will also manage human resources and payrolling responsibilities.

CDI Corp. (NYSE: CDI) said it was awarded a three-year contract with URS Corp.'s Washington Division. The deal expands the current technical staffing contract and designates CDI as vendor administrator. "With this expanded contract, CDI will handle not only the recruitment of high-end engineering positions, but will also administer the contingent staffing hiring processes involving CDI and other tier-one vendors," said Bonnie Burns, senior purchasing and contracts manager of the Washington Division.

Westaff Inc. (NASD: WSTF) announced that it entered into a business relationship with Crate & Barrel. The account represents potential revenue of $2 million. Crate & Barrel has more than 160 stores and 7,000 associates.
