Two new bills mandating paid sick leave were introduced in Congress during November, according to the latest issue of the Legs & Reg Advisor, produced by Staffing Industry Analysts and employment law firm Littler Mendelson.

The "Emergency Influenza Containment Act" would guarantee a maximum of five paid sick days for employees directed to remain at home. And the "Pandemic Protection for Workers, Families and Businesses Act" would provide up to seven paid sick days.
