Comsys buys RPO provider

December 20, 2007
Comsys IT Partners Inc. (NASD: CITP) said Wednesday it acquired T. Williams Consulting, a Philadelphia-based recruitment process outsourcing and specialty human resources consulting services company that primarily serves customers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Terms of deal were not announced. Comsys said the acquisition will add to earnings in 2008. Former owner Terry Williams and his team will stay with Comsys after the closing.

"We see the RPO sector as high growth, and one of our strategic focuses has been the development of a business process outsourcing offering to complement our traditional staffing and consulting businesses," said Comsys CEO Larry Enterline. "We expect TWC and our existing vendor management services offering, vWorx, to form the cornerstone for our BPO initiative, and plan to continue expanding our services offerings in that area."

Comsys also announced Dec. 13 it acquired Praeos Technologies Inc., a privately held Atlanta-based information technology consulting firm. And, on Oct. 26, Comsys said it reached a deal with Argus Connection Inc., of Grand Prairie TX, that let it sign employment agreements with more than 30 Argus contractors. Argus ceased its staffing operations and the deal allowed former Argus contractors to continue working at their assignments.
