Comsys buys Atlanta IT consulting firm

Houston-based information technology staffing and services company Comsys IT Partners Inc. (NASD: CITP) said Wednesday it acquired Praeos Technologies Inc., a privately held Atlanta-based IT consulting firm. Terms of the deal were not announced, but Comsys said the acquisition will be accretive to 2008 earnings. Praeos specializes in business intelligence and business analysis.

"Praeos has developed a strong practice in business intelligence and data warehousing, and we are delighted that former owner Jim Egan and his team will stay with Comsys to continue growing this business for us," said CEO Larry Enterline. "We have been focused on using the acquisition process to expand our services offerings, especially in managed solutions, and the business intelligence area has been a priority."
