Employers in August posted more than 10,000 online job ads for technology professionals with cloud computing skills and experience, a year-over-year increase of 80 percent, according to Wanted Analytics.

Metropolitan areas with the highest volume of listings for computer and IT professionals with cloud computing skills included San Jose, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and New York. The Silicon Valley leads the United States in the volume of job ads with 2,000 available during August. The New York area had the greatest growth in demand over the past year; August job ads increased 230 percent compared to the same month last year.
