Ciber names new CEO

June 16, 2014

Ciber Inc. (NYSE: CBR), a Greenwood, Colo.-based information technology staffing and solutions firm, named Michael Boustridge as president and CEO. Boustridge replaces Dave Peterschmidt, Ciber’s president and CEO since July 2010.

Peterschmidt announced his retirement from Ciber and his resignation from Ciber’s board, effective immediately. He will provide consulting services for one year to aid in the leadership transition.

“Michael was brought onto our board two years ago with succession planning in mind,” said Chairman Paul Jacobs. “We are fortunate to have a strong and qualified candidate, with global operating experience. And, because Michael has been on our board, he has a perspective of the role that no outside candidate could bring.”

Boustridge, age 50, joined Ciber’s board of directors in March 2012. He is currently a class II director of the company and will continue to serve on Ciber’s board of directors, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. However, he has resigned from the board’s compensation and nominating and corporate governance committees.

Boustridge most recently served as CEO of Contact Solutions. From 2006 to 2011, he was president of British Telecom Global Services Multi-National Corporations. Prior to that role, he held various positions with BT, including president of the America, Canada and Asia Pacific divisions. And before joining BT, Boustridge served as chief sales and chief marketing officer at Electronic Data Systems LLC, which he joined in 1996 from Hitachi Data Systems.

Ciber in April settled a proxy contest Lone Star Value Management LLC, which included changes to its board of directors.
