Ciber fourth-quarter revenue falls 6%

Fourth-quarter revenue fell 6.2% on a year-over-year basis to $262.3 million at information technology solutions and staffing company Ciber Inc. (NYSE: CBR).

The Greenwood Village CO-based company's fourth-quarter net income fell 54.3% to $2.5 million from $5.5 million in the year-ago quarter.

Full-year 2009 revenue fell 13.0% to $1.04 billion from 2008 revenue of $1.19 billion.

Full-year net income fell 44.4% to $15.0 million in 2009 from $26.9 million in 2008.

Ciber estimated first-quarter revenue of between $252.5 million to $257.5 million, which would represent a year-over-year decline of between 0.4% to 2.3%. For full-year 2009, Ciber estimates revenue of approximately $1.03 billion to almost $1.05 billion, ranging from a year-over-year increase of 0.8% to a decrease of 1.2%.
