Ciber Revenue Falls 6%

Ciber Inc. (NYSE: CBR), a Greenwood, Colo.-based provider of information technology solutions and staffing, reported first-quarter revenue fell 5.5 percent to $241.0 million from $254.9 million in the year-ago quarter.

The company’s sold its federal division in March.

Ciber’s first-quarter North America revenue fell 10.6 percent on a year-over-year basis to $119.4 million. However, international revenue rose 1.2 percent to $122.7 million in the first quarter.

First-quarter gross margin narrowed to 24.3 percent from 25.8 percent in the same period last year.

Ciber posted net income of $1.1 million, down 72.3 percent from net income of $4.1 million in the year-ago quarter.
